32mm Filter conversion for Kodak Duo Six-20 (1)

This is my favourite little 620 camera, but as well as the irritation of the 620 spools, it has a strange size of front element, and the retaining ring is larger than the housing diameter, making fitting a filter or lens hood almost impossible. I finally got round to machining up a little adapter from PVC (I like using plastic for this sort of thing, it’s quite strong enough, and never marks the original plating when it’s assembled or removed). The front element has to be unscrewed to mount it, and a recess needed to be machined on the back face to clear the Kodak badge & rivets, and of course, the overall length is fractionally less than the barrel, to be certain that the front element is not displaced. This one of a kind faceted Pink Tourmaline ring is handmade of copper by me. I made the chaton (the special structure for setting the stone) and the ring by sawing and soldering .I hammered outside of the ring for an antiqued look and oxidized with liver of sulfur.I sanded and polished .I polished inside for natural shiny copper
